I have to say the good is fantastically fresh, unique in presentation and such good value for money.
Best of all are the staff; they were on form and constantly offering themselves to make out lunch as comfortable as possible.
If you are heading down the A34/M4 exchange this is by far a great diversion to experience. Loved it.
It’s rare to find restaurants or pubs where the staff feel like they’re really enjoying what they do and take pride in their work. Well, we found it at the Fox in Peasemore today. We cycled up from Reading on Trip advisor recommendations and were not disappointed. The Steak and Kidney Pie was very good, generously proportioned and accompanied with delicious broccoli, carrot and cabbage. The mash was so-so but my partner’s chips were apparently very good. The food doesn’t pretend to be anything other than pub food, but it is done to a very high quality. Great recommendation from fellow reviewers and happy to continue the recommendations. Thanks to the staff and manager for making us feel so welcome!Charles.P, London
Had a really lovely lunch here today to celebrate a family birthday. It has kept it’s warm village pub atmosphere while serving generous portions of delicious food. The staff were superb – was spontaneously offered a wet specs cleanser by one of staff who’d noticed me cleaning my glasses on a napkin! There were several younger staff serving and they totally ‘got it’ when it came to good service. So popular they need more parking, but even though full, it didn’t feel crowded inside at all. Highly recommended by the whole party.Sarah J
All the staff were lovely, friendly, accommodating and it was a real pleasure to eat here. The food was excellent and as a pescatarian there are plenty of options for fish and vegetarians. I have to mention the bread as another reviewer did and it is moorish.
We will definitely visit again.
Booking was very easy after completing a booking enquiry I received a telephone call the next day to confirm.
I would recommend this venue for both food and a drink and to enjoy the lovely surroundings.
